the grounded vibe methodology

This notice covers one thing: the mailing list for The Grounded Vibe Methodology. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third party. If you never enter your email address, nothing about you is collected here at all.

Who is responsible

Plainco LLC is the data controller for the mailing list, trading as the plain books imprint. For anything in this notice, including any of the requests listed below, write to hello@groundedvibemethodology.com.

What is collected

That is the entire list. No name is asked for, no profile is built, and your address is never sold, rented, or shared for anyone else's marketing.

Why, and on what basis

The address is used to send you one email, when the book is published. That is the whole purpose.

The lawful basis is your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR, together with regulation 22 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Consent is given in two steps: you submit the form, then you click a confirmation link we email you. Until you click that link, you are not on the list and will not be emailed.

Who processes it

The list is stored and sent by Buttondown, a mailing-list provider in the United States, acting as our processor under a data processing agreement. That agreement incorporates the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Module 2, Controller to Processor) along with the corresponding UK provisions, which is the mechanism that permits your data to be handled outside the UK and EEA.

How long it is kept

The list exists to announce one book. It is deleted within three months of publication, unless you have separately opted in to hear about anything further. If the book does not publish, the list is deleted by 31 December 2027.

Your rights

You can, at any time and without giving a reason:

Changes

If what the list is used for ever changes, this notice changes with it, and you will be told before any new use begins, not afterwards.
